Title: exhaust flanges on X2 headers Post by: Dave_EH on September 15, 2005, 02:45:00 AM With my car almost ready for exhaust and rego I've been getting a few more quotes.
One place, who seemed to know their stuff, has told me that the flanges that fit to the X2 headers are different to all flanges now made - and I need to source some second hand ones. Is this the case, or are all holden manifold/flanges the same and I can use some that were fitted to a stock manifold? No other places seemed to mention this as a problem - but this place said they did an XU1 a few weeks back and this was the case. Any experience? I didn't quite understand what he meant. I believe he meant the flange on the pipes that meet the headers. I had a look at the old ones that were on it - totally rusted - and they don't seem any different from a stock exhaust. I can't seem how they can't supply one - I'll ask a few other places this quetion specifically and see what happens. I asked a wrecker where I got them and he didn't seem to know of any problems with them. I just spoke to another exhaust place that said they could do they job no worries at all - he couldn't understand what the other mob was on about.
