Title: Home made warmaride heater core
Post by: fe2ek on March 21, 2005, 04:32:35 AM
With only 4 days to go until nats, found out my heater core was stuffed.I made a temporary one out of 1/2" copper tube.Works a treat.Only rquired slight modification with a rubber mallet.Wrapped pipe around an old one litre paint tin and silver soldered pipe in various spots to hold together.Took 90 minutes to make and cost under $20.
Cheers Geoff

Bloody oath, Geoff!
That is clever!
Man, I wish I had thought of that. No doubt when I do end up having to make one, I will tell everyone it was my idea ;D ;) ;D

That would rather defeat the purpose... ;)

Good work, Geoff.  It doesn't sound like we want to be without our heaters at the Nats...

I particularly like the use of the paint-tin.  Who says you need a pipe-bending kit, eh?

cheers

Well done Geoff,
Not bad for a plumber gas fitter will keep your toes warm on the way up to the Nats.
 Catch you on Wednesday.
         Tony Galea. :)
