I was just after this info. Would anybody know how to remove the headlight switch/rod? Does the spring button have anything to do with it? Any help is much appreciated. Cheers Ed Title: Re: electrical problems Post by: smithy on March 15, 2005, 12:26:23 AM hi ed, pull the headlight knob /switch all the way out as you would to turn your headlights on then depress the spring loaded button on the switch body and pull.
simple ;D dean Title: Re: electrical problems Post by: utey on March 15, 2005, 07:12:32 AM Thanks Dean
Pulled the switch apart and cleaned the contacts, had to rewire as the coiled resistor was bust. Dash lights working, head lights dimming. The link to Martins post was great. Just the indicators to sort out now. Thanks Nick Title: Re: electrical problems Post by: smithy on March 16, 2005, 09:53:16 PM hey nick, good to hear you sorted out the lights, what is the problem with indicators as i have just sorted out some problems with mine and may be able to help? d Title: Re: electrical problems Post by: utey on March 17, 2005, 03:00:24 AM Dean
No indicators at all, working ok before I pulled the dash and lights. Will check to see if there is power to bulbs then work backwards. Nick "If it was easy would it be so much fun" Title: Re: electrical problems Post by: Al on March 17, 2005, 09:27:57 AM Nick,
Try the wires on the blinker can or try another can. Cheers Al |
