hi nick, ah the joys of electrical problems, sounds like your headlights may be hooked up to the wrong terminal, try these links here they go into some good detail

your indicators could be caused by a bad earth, i found this out recently where one of the rear blinker globe holders wasnt contacting the housing properly, or could be bad flasher can. good luck

good stuff Dean,

I was just after this info.

Would anybody know how to remove the headlight switch/rod?

Does the spring button have anything to do with it?

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers

Ed

hi ed, pull the headlight knob /switch all the way out as you would to turn your headlights on then depress the spring loaded button on the switch body and pull.

Thanks Dean
Pulled the switch apart and cleaned the contacts, had to rewire as the coiled resistor was bust.
Dash lights working, head lights dimming.
The link to Martins post was great.
Just the indicators to sort out now.
Thanks

Nick

Dean
No indicators at all, working ok before I pulled the dash and lights.
Will check to see if there is power to bulbs then work backwards.

Nick,
Try the wires on the blinker can or try another can.
