Title: Newbies first post
Post by: pafc64 on March 11, 2005, 03:13:38 AM
Hi All
I found this site a while ago & must say I'm very impressed with the knowledge & help here.
I have a FE in the shed which is a bit sad currently due to lack of funds & time. Hopefully things will improve soon so I can begin fixing her.
I bought her about 12yrs ago,I was actually looking for a FB or EK but when I found the FE she was to nice to leave.
She has been in my shed ever since, shes got a bit of rust, plenty of dust (as you will see if the picture works)
I have been able to identify her from FE holden.org tech files.
She was made in Adelaide in 1957,  7,158th assembled there, FE special sedan, ocean mist duco laquer with Italian & Lymph green interior.
24,601st FE made in Australia.
Motor is a 138 from an EJ apparently  (J-113930)
Well thats enough dribbling.
Keep up the good work

Nice to see you out of the shadows.
Welcome to the boards.
Thanks for sharing your story and that cool pic.
That's a lot of dust on the old girl.
Start out by doing a litle bit at a time. You would be surprised what you can achieve with a bit of time and no money.
Regards
Alex

Welcome to the forum, as Alex said you can get a lot done for very little to no cash. You just got to make a start, thats when the bug bite's and then there is no turning back. Good luck with it and keep us posted. Great to see yet another FE heading back to being on the road.

Cheers
