Title: FC Baby Brother Post by: nigelb42 on March 08, 2005, 08:15:04 AM Hey all,
Forgive the subject here but I am really strapped for answers about an FB standard a mate has just bought. There is no database to pump the numbers into to find original trim etc so I am hoping someone can spare some answers for the FC's widdle Brother. The numbers on the body plate etc are: Body - FB 215 8234B Trim - could be 800 - 800 or 500 - 800 Paint - 585 - 0055 (Carlsbad Black) Inner Guard - FB 13480B Engine - B93898 As I said not exactly an FC but his little brother, any help appreciated. I will have a look at my FB Standard & see how closely they match. If it was black, it will be Carlsbad Black), the interior will be red & thaat is called "Mephisto" red. I just did the entire interior of mine in NOS material & man it looks great!!! Will get back to you asap. Rob J Title: Re: FC Baby Brother Post by: nigelb42 on March 08, 2005, 07:38:19 PM thanks Rob,

Basically the same set up as the FE FC. Car was the 8234th FB Standard. It was built in Brisbane. It was the 12480th FB of any body style. Car was assembled in Brissie. Car is Carlsbad Black in The new "Acrylic Laquer" Interior is Mephisto Red Engine is an FB engine, 2/3 of the way through production. Cool Car, it is my FB's little brother by 8,100 Standards. Mine is a Melbourne car, number 108 of the Standard production line. Mine was also a VERY early Standard (Late 1959) & as such, is still painted in the FC colour DUCO "HI Gloss Black", NOT Carlsbad black. It is stamped on the ID plate. The Black is the same colour as on my new FC wagon. Cool, huh? They would look good together!! Rob J |
