Title: Alternative heaters Post by: NO NAME on February 27, 2005, 12:17:42 PM I am thinking of changing my heater as it seam to be getting crap and is a bit to bulky.
it is currently fitted with a pressed steel body heater from a very early mini. I was wondering if there was something more compct that would be more efficient, maybe out of one off those trolley type cars that look a bit like rollerskates like a mira, fiori, suzuki, handivan etc. anyone used one like this before? Title: Re: Alternative heaters Post by: smithy on March 02, 2005, 11:40:11 PM hi fccool, i have used this heater that hyseria is talking about. it is a small/ flat unit which came from under the front seat of a 60 series cruiser. i had a mate build a housing from aluminium for me so i can run the demister ducts of it but the housing could be built from tin, etc. they are not a powerful unit but it will do the job. let me know if you want me to send some pics of it or further details i'll be too happy to help out. the other option is to find a heater from a early model japanese car. i have two sapre units from a ke20 corolla at home, they are not as small but can be modified.
