If you are contemplating registering the car in NSW I'd be careful about narrowing the rear chassis rails to fit wheel tubs. I don't believe it is an acceptable modification. Check the RTA Light Vehicle Modification Guidelines, or consult an engineer. Send a PM to Chuck. He has mini tubs in his FC which are legal. He can probably fill you in with the details.
