At the risk of repeating myself, it depends. This thread ($2) is worth reading on the subject. Whether it's worth it depends on many things, primarily how it suits the situation of the prospective buyer. It could well be worth that money or more to someone who is looking at having to pay someone a couple of grand in rust and panel work to get their existing resto project up to scratch. To someone with panel skills who is capable of that sort of work, maybe it wouldn't be, and a rusty car with a complete driveline and interior would suit them better.
