Title: front door moulds
Post by: smithy on January 20, 2005, 01:07:46 AM
got a wee bit of a dilema. is there any variation in the front door moulds for a FC sedan. the reason i ask this is that i am chasing a drivers side mould, slim (thank you) sent me down one and when i went to fit it the curve towards the windscreen was shallower than holes drilled. now i know it sounds like the holes were in the wrong spot but when i checked slims against my passenger side mould my curve was deeper and the length of my mould was just a little longer (met up with both ends of the door). i also checked against a spare passenger side mould. slim sent down another one (thanks again) and unfortunately it was the same profile as the first. now im confused. ??? :-/

any ideas
thanks

Hi Smithy,
The mould from Slim looks like a FE one.

I'd have to agree with ACE.
The FE trim sits higher on the door than an FC, hence the shallower profile.
