Post by: TorqueFC on January 19, 2005, 11:01:32 PM
does any1 know the answer to this question

what is the point of having a proper hot rod:ford or chev

u go 2 a show and there are always 2 cars alike

ven sometimes the same

how can u have something different when people have the same car

thats why im doin an ek, its something that no1 else will have the same as, especially with the custom work im doin

Some people like to be sheep and follow the next guy,
I myself can't see the reason in buying a Red HSV ,Blue XR8,Blue WRX just about every man and his dog gots one.The only difference is the number plate.
Like i said some like to follow the next guy,
1 thing for sure there's only 1 2brite :D
Good luck with the EK,how bout letting us on with the mods your doing .
Cheers Nunzio

torquefc....me finding it hard to work out wotsya on about.     How is doing up an EK any more "Different" than a HOT ROD ?

Sure there may be a couple of HotRods that are pretty close to the same, but one would think that there would be a hell of a lot more EK's that are just as similar.

You think the custom work you are doing to your EK will make it "1 of a kind", and maybe it will be...but it will still be an EK....just the same as Hotrodders who customise their rides, but are still the same Hotrod as the one parked next to it.

So to answer your question...' The POINT is, that a guy/gal's car is a creation important to them, and no matter how different or similar it may be to someone elses car, it's theirs and no one elses, and that's what makes it different ! "

Woould love to see your pics when you get them posted.
Cheers

Mark

The last time I went to a Hotrod show I never saw two hotrods alike. I saw some similar but never alike. I will make a point of checking this weekend at the Melbourne Show! I guess unless you are into them the differences may be hard to spot. Some people couldn't pick the difference between an FE and FC or an FB and EK. Mark has it in a nutshell. Each person's car is their own creation. As long as you are happy with it, who cares?

As far as Kustom EK and FB's go plenty have been built before. They have already been chopped, tubbed, prostreeted, blown etc.  Plenty running around with Chevs or Holden V8s in them too. Even a few V6's getting around now. Not sure I have seen a two door or convertible yet but that doesn't mean it hasn't been done either! It is pretty hard to do anything unique with a popular car that hasn't already been done, but as long as you are happy with it, that is all that matters. Some pics would be nice!
