Title: Colour on the chrome
Post by: Paul-FcWag on January 19, 2005, 08:56:32 PM
Hi all

Just wondering if anyone knows where to get the coloured bits on the chromework done? im refering to the black holden word and the red behind the lion on the rear badge on my station sedan and the red and black in the centre of the hubcaps.
should the chroming mobs do it or is it another specialist job.
or do i just find a couple of good nicko's  ;)  ;D

Cheers   Paul

You find a girlfriend/wife who is very good at painting her nails.

Then you go to Auto One or Supercheap and buy Holts  Maranello Red touch up paint (Commodore colour) in the little tube, not the aerosol, and present the badge and paint to aforementioned nail expert and ask nicely for the work to be done.

The black on the hubcaps is more effectively done with the aerosol can and masking tape.
