Title: Yella Terra Vs Thomas
Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on December 29, 2004, 09:05:36 AM
Does anyone know if a Thomas (finned alloy) Rocker Cover will fit a red six with Yella Terra Roller Rockers?
The cheapie chrome unit is a good fit, as soon as I fit up the Thomas unit, the clearances don't seem to be there.
Has anyone used the more recent Speco/Thomas, Cain, Kilkenny Castings, Whatever with any success?

Oh well, I have a KC Alloy unit on order, these supposedly fit roller-rockers.

I had a alloy rocker cover on a stroker 186 with crow cam roller rockers, dont know brand of cover but to make it fit I had to die grind out some of the inside of the cover to make it fit.  Hope this helps  :-/

Thanks Tumbles, Gary has already sent me a few photos and the KC Cover I bought had the same machining with a claim on the box to suit Roller Rockers. I took the Thomas cover into an engineers today for milling. My previous efforts at grinding alloy have not been good.
