Title: My FC Special Sedan
Post by: Michael on February 20, 2002, 09:27:34 AM
I'm here at last with a lot of help from Richard.
(http://www.fefcholden.org.au/vic/membercars/mdenny.jpg) I bought her just over a year and a half ago. Just put HR front & rear ends in it (stops a lot better). I bought it from a guy who'd had it for about 15 years - he used to go rabbit shooting in it!

Nice car Michael,
Say was the HR front end conversion hard and exactly what do you have to do to the rear end.
Thanks Trent

Trent,

The details on what's involved in converting to a HR front end can be found in our Tech Info section here ($2).  The minimum you need to do on the rear end is fit the correct size wheel cylinders, but you can swap the entire diff drum to drum which can be simpler if you're changing the diff centre anyway, and that ensures you've got matching track front and back.

cheers

G'Day Trent
You retain the FC springs, the HR ones wont fit they are wider. Use HR saddle rubbers.

G'day Michael, what a beautiful car, I love the red and white paint, I have a bright red FC, which I've been thinking about putting a white flash on , now I'm convinced . thanks Tony
