Title: Paint formula - Granite Grey
Post by: Fast_Eddie on October 15, 2004, 04:18:40 AM
Hello,

Has anyone got a modern formula or equivalent colour for Granite Grey paint (Code 7700) that they could forward to me?

Regards

Edward

(PS I need something more specific than "mix black and white")  ;)

Ha ha ha.

Why do I even bother?

Seriously, Dulux-PPG Customer Service and Technical Support should be able to give you the info.  Give them a call on 13 24 24 or fax your request (perhaps with a suitably grovelling explanation of why you would want to paint your car grey) to 1800 800 819.

Wayne, your time starts.... now.

cheers

PS - Surely, amongst your vast collection of vehicles in gloss primer there's a  glove-box lid or something you could use for colour-matching?

RET,

Thank you.

Volcanic grey wouldn't be a problem. Plenty of parts.

Granite grey is a problem. Everything has been sand blasted.

Yes, there is a difference.  ;)

Edward

Try Eastern Auto Paints (Vic) 03 9761 2155
This guy has all the original paint charts and will mix any colour in any type of paint.  He is possibly the best paint guy in Australia.  A real enthusiast who is more than happy to help with genuine enquiries for paint.

Likewise for the guys at Paintmobile in Preston (Vic again)
I walked in and they mixed me up from the original shade colouring books for Madang Maroon on the EK and sight matched the French Grey And Marle Grey on the FJ since that time

6 High Street Preston
(03) 9484-6100

or
101 Cheltenham Road
Dandenong
