Title: Lansvale Car Show 1984 Post by: customFC on October 03, 2004, 12:24:16 PM Here are some pics I took back in 1984 at a little car show in Lansvale, NSW.
The Running on Empty 57. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v117/customfc/Car Shows/84lansvale1.jpg) Very nice FC wagon in metalic bronze. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v117/customfc/Car Shows/84lansvale2.jpg) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v117/customfc/Car Shows/84lansvale3.jpg) Dark blue FC with beige vinyl roof. No info on this car, but saw it again about 2 years ago in Camden whilst on a combined run with the SSEHC. Only thing changed was the wheels (now chromies) and plates. Still looked great. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v117/customfc/Car Shows/84lansvale4.jpg) Newly completed FC of Bob Lubic alongside Greg Gleeson's FC ? (shake, rattle and roll). (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v117/customfc/Car Shows/84lansvale5.jpg) Interesting humpy with a blown 202 and Mercedes headlights. That may explain how much I like copper bronze and how much I love Specials in one colour rather than two Just has to be house paint thats all - so you can change it every couple of weeks. There was a VJ valiant just like that running around these parts for a while , Owned by the Goopdas. Back to topic :) Love the pics Alex once again , but she still snatches in second, "Yeah" that just may be it.. My favourite quote - "OK Sheryl, Getcha gear off" Good name for an FE "Sheryl" Title: Re: Lansvale Car Show 1984 Post by: FC-V8 on October 06, 2004, 01:29:18 AM From memory I think the bronze wagon & the blue sedan were owned by the Carr or Carey brothers who lived at the back of liverpool just down the road from Slim. These were the 2 cars that got me hooked on fc's in the early 80's seeing them driving around liverpool.
Thanks for posting these photos brings back good memories. Glenn |
