Title: Fee from Trudle
Post by: leon on August 07, 2004, 07:25:29 AM
 :)G Day Fellows & Ladies.
Here is a photo of the car so far. I sprayed the roof recently.
the bottom half  will be done in a week or two.
The roof colour is matched to the rear view mirror and the door's interior, the only parts  I think had the true colour that was'nt  faded.
Regards. Leon ;)

Looking good Leon.
Shouldn't the top colour go all the way down the A pillars though?
It looks a lovely colour.
Keep up the good work and keep us updated.
Regards
Alex

 :)G Day Alex.
I didn't bother with the colour down the pillars because its all covered up by the rubber & the chrome covers.
See photo.
Thanks for your response.
Regards Leon ;)

Leon, I think you'll find that there is a very small strip of paint that you can see between the chrome screen surround and the drip rail.  Basically the paint on the back of the drip rail.
Have a look at a couple of other specials and you will see what I mean

Leon
I argree with Ken you will see a small line of paint down the A pillar. You have done such a great job on the rest shame to spoil it on such a small area.

:)Thanks Mick. Col for your intrest.
Answer to Col RE' the paint.
I use acrylic paint as I find it easy to use and to repair a scratch or a chip its easy as you don't have to spray the whole panel & Mick I believe if one takes his or her time at what they want to do. They can do it' you don't have to get a spray painters license to spray a car or a mechanical trade to change a spark plug or put new rings in a motor.
Was  James watt a electrician befor he discovered electricty or the wright brothers have a pilot licence to fly there first airoplane, We all can do most things if we have confidence and beleave in ourselfs.
