Title: Fitting venitians
Post by: Paul-FcWag on June 28, 2004, 11:20:34 PM
 Hi all

I was contemplating buying venetians for the rear sides of my wagon and was wanting a few opinions about them. both positive and negative would be great

How are they fitted? do they clip on about the window or do you need to fit them in under the roof?
Do they bend to match the shape of the window or do they just hang straight down? id imagine they may look a little out of place if they dont match the shape of the window???

any opinions- and especially advice on fitting them would be appreciated.

cheers

Hello,

my venetians (when fitted) will slide in under the rubber seal.

they follow the windows quite closely (not sure about the repros tho).

and I reckon they look great.

Cheers

Ed

I personally have found "Smooth's" venetians to be first rate repro's
He charges around $350.00 for a set of three, or $250.00 for just the side two!   :)
they match the original pretty well and follow and window contours and line well, the upright's sit under the window rubber and can be fitted and removed in seconds!
Cheers
Matt
P.S. check out the venetians on earlyholdens.com where they have pictures of original and repro together to see the differences and similarities!

Hi Thumper, Just fitted a full set of repo's from Rare's
a few days ago. I had no problems fitting them and
they look great! You won't regret it :D :D
