Title: Miranda Fair
Post by: Hewart on May 09, 2004, 11:51:01 AM
G'day guys....
Here is a shot of Miranda Fair in Sydney's south, in early 1964. It shows some construction work going on, and the ramp set-up to get into the underground carpark. I was interested in the lineup of old Holdens at what looks like the construction office....

and a closeup...

Another great photo Les,  FC wagon, FE sedan and if I am not mistaken a 3-door vanette !!!!

You can see how on the drivers side behind the door there is a split in the window, whilst not on the other side.
The split in the window was a 2 piece glass with a sliding portion.  This is a rare car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You've got an amazing eye for detail Ken...!! Good spotting...!!
I tried to zoom in closer on the pic, though it didn't come much clearer, you could see there is no door handle were the back door would normally be.
When I posted the pic, I thought that car may have been a panel van or at best another standard station sedan... I didn't realise it was a vanette....

Cheers

Great shot Les, photos like these illustrate how dominate holden was at the time.
