Title: FC Holden needing good service
Post by: Sarah Warhurst on April 08, 2004, 04:57:42 AM
My FC and I are located in the Adelaide CBD, and I am looking for a reliable mechanic to maintain regular services.

I have been to a few in the past, and have never been happy. General mechanics never bother about the little details which needed fixing on my FC.

She needs a full service, windscreen wipers stopped working, blinkers don't "blink", one tail light broken (needs replacing), handbrake chord snapped.......to mention most of the "details"!

Anyone know of a reiable mechanic willing to take on this challenge?
(...and not charge through the roof!  )

Thank you.

I recently went to Profix on Research Rd Pooraka to have some work done on my FC. Whilst they don't really specialise in old holdens I am happy with the work and the prices charged seemed fair.

If there is an "Old Holden" specialist I'd like to hear too, as the guy who used to do my servicing got a "real" job and only does race motors now.

There is also a place in Gawler call Australian Brake and Undercar, I have only had a set of discs machined and the brake booster reco'ed. They seem honest, do a good job and are well priced. Not sure if they servicing etc.
