I did think about taking a trip out there, Might be a new project for Slim. Title: Re: Jim's Trading Post Update 11 Mar 04 Post by: craiga on March 13, 2004, 05:12:43 AM Jim,
I went out with a friend of mine who was very interested in buying the ute however the $20000.00 the guy wanted was over the top. Its a very nice car though, I went for a drive in it and it drives beautifully, the paint/body is about 8.5 out of 10, engineering seems very well done, all chrome is extremely good, very slight rust (small matchhead size bubbles) in outer sills and above drivers side door handle. Interior is clean and well presented. Lots of new parts including a HUGE radiator and disc rotors. For $13000.00 my mate would have owned it weeks ago. If you are keen on a V8 FC Ute I would hurry up, the first serious buyer to look at this car WILL buy it at that price. Cheers, Craig. Title: Re: Jim's Trading Post Update 11 Mar 04 Post by: FC0058 on March 13, 2004, 01:26:11 PM Guys
I would love a V8 ute. Are you lot trying to convince me to buy? I was talking about having a "look" at the drag car not buying. I am realy after a really nice, very original 58 Special sedan or wagon. I will just plod along working on my current car and keep an eye out for a daily driver. Title: Re: Jim's Trading Post Update 11 Mar 04 Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on March 14, 2004, 03:03:34 AM Had a look at the Evanston car, absolute bargain. Just needs putting back together, paint has a chip here and there but otherwise a complete car that needs a week two to get it on the road.
If it's still there on Tuesday it's mine. Title: Re: Jim's Trading Post Update 11 Mar 04 Post by: Fast_Eddie on March 14, 2004, 11:14:15 PM You have to be quick..... rang about the ute on Saturday morning at 9am, and it was already sold :'(
Title: Re: Jim's Trading Post Update 11 Mar 04 Post by: Effie C on March 15, 2004, 06:00:19 AM This may explain the lackof a reply to a enquiry via Trading Post email,oh well still looking for the reasonably priced V6/ V8 FC (Not FE)

To answer your question ? No it is not in my garage. and I will agree with you on the FC not FE. Title: Re: Jim's Trading Post Update 11 Mar 04 Post by: customFC on March 15, 2004, 11:37:24 AM The ute came up in conversation at Tuesdays Club Meeting, and I know of a member who talked about going to the yard on Wed to see if he could do a deal involving his WB Statesman......I wonder if we may be seeing it soon.
