Title: MEAN59
Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on November 19, 2003, 11:08:18 AM
Came across this picture today on the Adelaide Raceway site
(http://www.adelaideraceway.net/images/CAL01.jpg)
Not sure on the details, but I remember it being bloody fast , it's lifting the front passenger tyre! Naturally aspirated with a special head I think, maybe even giggle gas.

I'm no guru, but by the looks of the placement of that bonnet scoop, I'd say a BLOWN 6 cyl !

Definately not a V8, unless he was drunk when he put the scoop on !

Not totally sure but believe it may have a chev six fitted with a duggan head it may also have run a red motor with irving head at some stage early.

The SA personalised plates are actually on a green FC ute getting around Adelaide, so no idea where the sedan is now, might ask as the ute belongs to a mate of a mate.

cheers
Scott

I recall reading an article about it , it had a phil irving head red motor only like 6 or8 of these heads were made they make massive horse power it had triple webers or dellortos all the irving heads had the same intake they angled upat 45 degree and the exhaust angled down at 45 they are a true twelve port red motor head and are like gold!! this car was old skool back in early 90s amazing how good your memory gets ...now weres my keys?? Andy :P
