Title: 403
Post by: ardiesse on August 06, 2024, 09:50:12 PM
I can't post, and I can't pm either.  It's only happened in the last half-hour or so.

And when I try (yet again) to reply to Jolls's "radio identification" post, I get a 403.

"Preview" works, but "post reply" has no effect.  On the "help with radio ID" thread, that is.  This thread appears to work normally.

Evidence points towards a nanny filter which I triggered.

Voyager 2, this is Ground Control. We appear to have regained contact.

Cheers,

Please check that you are using this page:

https://forum.fefcholden.club

If you are using anything else (i.e. http://fefcholden.org.au/forum) then the fact it is not using the SSL (padlock) version may mean your browser refuses to send cookie data or credentials, causing the forbidden error because you're being treated as if you're not logged in whilst trying to perform an action that requires being logged in.

This can also be the cause of being constantly asked to log in, which I know some people have experienced. Different browsers and operating systems seem to have different behaviours, but I can say I've tried multiple browsers, computers and mobile devices, and the URL shown in big text up there never produces 403 errors for me.

If you have a bookmark for the site in your browser, make sure it's using the link shown above.

Hope that helps.

cheers

What browser, Rob? Are you able to try an alternative, ie Chrome vs Edge vs Firefox?
