Looks good Paeroa, and you are correct that it will keep you busy ... :D
Looks like a good starting point, be prepared for unexpected issues though. My 1 year rebuild has stretched to 4 years and still going.

Looks like a good clean straight body. Some work looks like it has been done. Do you know it's back history in so far as what is was like and what's been done?

Some advice please. I'm wanting to convert my FE to electric wipers using an EK motor. I've found a wrecker who has a motor and sent me photos. It's got the crank arm with it but doesn't look the same as photos I've seen on this Forum. Does anyone recognise this and will it do the job? Thanks.

if you go to MODIFICATION HELP and look under my thread ( electric wipers fitment PBH0069 ) there is photos of the correct arms

Half the crank is missing from that. The bit you have to take off to remove the second actuator arm. Can be a bit like hens teeth. Also there is a clip but you can get them on eBay now.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I spoke to the wrecker; he doesn't have the missing part of the crank but knows what I need for next time an EK comes in.

You can make the crank and if you do it correctly then your wiper blades wont hit your chrome window surrounds even when there is play in your wiper arm bushes .
Tricky bit for me would the clip mount but if you have access to machining equipment?
Let me know if anyone wants measurements.

...and the saga continues. I had assumed the FE was on vacuum wipers as there was a vacuum motor in the bits that came with it; hence my mission to search out an EK motor. I took a look under the cowl this afternoon and to my surprise I found a FoMoCo electric wiper motor mounted up under there. I've put some photos below. Has anyone seen a setup like this before? You'll also notice that someone in the past has cut through the actuator arms. Butcher!
