Title: fitting boot lock
Post by: pbh0069 on March 19, 2016, 09:55:02 AM
had trouble trying to fit my boot key lock ( two hours  >:( )

seems to be a common problem if you go by the threads on here

so I come up with this , worked first time , don't know if it was a fluke or not .

still had my wife hold in and down the lock I placed the retainer up to the boot lid and tapped it n with a hammer , went in first time ;D

Just yesterday I also spent about two hours getting nowhere fast.
Took a break and over a cup of tea came up with a similar idea, just used the flat stick and masking tape to attach the clip.
Great minds think alike :)
Also had the wife assisting which never goes well!
