Title: FC Head with L or K casting marks 1958 Post by: DCE80 on April 23, 2015, 08:18:00 AM Hi guys as per subject line I'm after a head suitable for reconditioning with the correct date markings. As I need repairs to the existing head ( which is EK) I have decided to pursue finding the correct one. Specifically I'm after a head that has LXX8 or KXX8 ( X being any number) L=Dec 8=1958. I know its prob a long shot but I am in no hurry and figure there would have been 1000's made in the time frame I'm looking at. A head with these numbers should also only have one hole tapped into water gallery on top of head between head bolts at rear. My block is 3rd Dec so anything with k or l code I am interested in. If my understanding of these codes is incorrect please let me know. Ideally would like something located in South Australia. I'm prepared to consider interstate if seller could help with packaging and handling. The head would have to be in sound condition for interstate as it would be very risky for me buying and transporting a cracked head. For the SA guys I welcome any leads on where to look.
