I think your right.  EJ had that style box but a different bell houseing for the rear engine mounts and a different extension housing.  You can still use them if you swap that over.  Not a bad price $25/each

Yeah  GreyFC the one that came with my EK ute project is an EJ and I found out the difference between EJ and EH is because the EJ is still powered by a mighty grey and does not have a rear mount on the gearbox cross member.  The ones in the above photo have rear mounts.
So as you say they could be good buying if your Fe Fc has a red motor on board.

Could be my recent experience with leaky heads but I get nervous when I see rust on top of a block - but worth a look

I'm guessing it's expensive because someone told him the block was special with no engine number. His claim is incorrect though. All NASCO new blocks whether for boats, cars or fork lifts were sold without engine numbers. If the motor was to go in a car then the owner was supposed to drop into the local cop shop to get it stamped (hence the VP and NP etc blocks)
Lots of owners didn't bother. ::)
I don't think there was a requirement for boats or fork lifts to get a number stamped, though I am not really sure on that detail. ???

Notice the first one has basically fallen / rusted through the bottom of the front suspension into the ground, even the remains of the K frames are still there where they have rusted off the bottom of the car. Even the steering column has basically rusted away. How bad must the rest of the car been?
The second one looks like the car was rolled over and the engine was unbolted and dropped onto the ground. Rocker cover is punched in, carb is broken, oil filter is broken (shame)
