Title: NEW Alternative to the usual front end sellers
Post by: FCRB26 on March 22, 2015, 07:38:50 PM
Here it is

Ryan from United Speed Shop has been hard at work getting his new front ends off the ground.

I have been busy cutting all jigs and prototypes to help him get off the ground.

Everything has been nutted out proper brakes proper stubs proper rack in power or manual.
All new components All tube arms are CNC bent.
Ball joint cups ect all CNC machined.
All designed on 3D cad software
Please Note inner guards need to be cut for the reason to get the best out of the front end the top arms needed to be longer this is a small compromise in my opinion.
Anti roll bar incorporated into it as well.

I have also cut 1 out for the wifes  EH as i have purchased a low km L98 rectangular port 6litre to fit into it for her.

A little bit more than the others but complete with rack and brakes everything.

Shoot Ryan an email or contact him on facebook.

Do they come with engine mount brackets?

I have to ask where he was up to with that as theres so many combos available i think they will have a mount on the front end and the brackets will be made off that.

O.K Thanks.
It would be a shame to have to grind back the powdercoating to weld mount brackets.
I know someone that would be very interested in a front end and will let him know. ;)
Is there a outrigger?

Pete, A few years ago I did a rack and HR conversion on a FJ that's just down the road ,and as you would probably know ,you end up with the top control arm against the inner guard so as is a fairly common practice I removed the offending inner guard sections and fabricated a set of removable covers that screw on to the inner guards and rails to cover the upper inner shafts and bolts . It makes things a lot easier when doing wheel alignments anyway . I was looking at a very similar front end conversion at a ASRF day recently ,but this looks a little more thought through . Cheers Haydn

I know I have been critical of a lot of front ends and steering set ups on this forum in the past but from what I can see it looks the business . So they come fully certified [we are talking Australia wide ?] The only other question I need to know is the spindle height in comparison to the lowest point of the cross member under normal weight . It looks 2"-3" lower than std. in the pics. I'm assuming this is sump clearance for a variety of engines  ,so what would the trim height be in relation to the road to cross member clearance ? Just curious .Cheers Haydn
