Title: accelerator linkage Post by: Gordon on March 14, 2015, 07:53:15 PM Hi can someone post a photo of the linkage between the carby and the rod on the firewall please I'm missing it and not sure what it looks like the workshop manual doesn't really show it (FC wagon)

If this photo is complete then could someone tell me which model had the extra bracket . Cheers Haydn
Title: Re: accelerator linkage Post by: mcl1959 on March 15, 2015, 01:16:44 PM Haydn is on the money here, the pics shown are of the FE set up. A problem with this arrangement was that under conditions of excessive engine "rock" the accelerator would operate independently of pedal position.
The FC model incorporated a fix which moved the roll centre of the accelerator in towards the centre of the engine. There is a slotted bracket included. I don't have a pic of installation in a car but have a linkage here I can photograph if needed.
