Title: Headlight switch
Post by: Billy Blackarrow on May 27, 2014, 07:23:25 PM
Hi all
For those who haven't been on the FB/EK forum I am changing my Headlights to H4 and I am wondering if anyone has used a headlight switch from a later model car but still made it look stock

Is there any particular reason you need to replace the switch?

You should be able to fit the new headlights, and wire them up to the existing blocks. You should have the regulator adjusted for the additional current the H4s draw, and they may need a relay fitted. But there's no need to alter the switch that I'm aware of.

cheers

You will definitely need a relay.
As the Bi metal strip on the original switch has a tendency to go off when you least expect it.
But as RET has stated the original is fine.
