Title: Windscreen chrome Post by: Eaton_FE on August 20, 2013, 06:24:18 PM I am in the process of having my windscreen resealed and the Windscreen fitter is having trouble getting the chrome to stay in the rubber when he is trying to get the windscreen back in, any body got any ideas?

He should also make sure the moulds are pressed fully into position(ie, the leg on the mould is fully into the slot in the rubber). This is what I do for a living and they are the main problem areas that come up.

Brand new rubbers straight out of the packet are troublesome as well because they want to roll back up again. Best idea is to unwrap the seal a few weeks before you install to allow it to unravell

I will have another try on the weekend. Les |
