Be nice to see GOA back on the road, it's been a while. Not sure why you'd need a bigger tank for Tassie, one tank full should just about get you right the way around ;) Any other mods you have up your sleeve?? BTW, was good to read the GOA story in Article of the week 196 Trevor_B Title: Re: GOA350 Improvments Post by: JB on June 21, 2013, 06:16:14 AM How many km's? How much did you make it bigger?
And where are the rest of the pics? Lol Title: Re: GOA350 Improvments Post by: fe350chev on June 21, 2013, 08:23:40 PM yeah what he said
Title: Re: GOA350 Improvments Post by: GOA350 on June 26, 2013, 01:13:28 PM I'm expecting the size to be somewhere 65- 70ltrs, instead of the standard 40ltrs. I won't know until i fill it once it is sealed, hopfully this weekend.
The tank has been sandblasted inside and out, and then i put it all together. Now i am going to seal it with KBS Tank sealer then paint the outside of the tank with KBS rust seal. My new 60lt tank arrived from Marty yesterday, a nice piece of work, hope to get time to fit it next week.
Title: Re: GOA350 Improvments Post by: GOA350 on July 01, 2013, 01:47:11 PM Went through the tank sealing process on the weekend and while rinsing the KBS Rust Blast from the inside of the tank, i measured the tanks capacity. It took 80 ltrs to fill it to the top, so that has doubled the amount of fuel i can carry now.
The tank has been sealed inside now, and it takes 96 hrs to fully cure. This KBS Tank sealer is amazing stuff. It actually expands, like expander foam, while it is curing. Then it cures as hard as a rock. Just have to do the outside now with KBS Rustseal, then it is ready to use. I still havent finished the spare wheel well and the coating of the floor the tank fits into, but that will be next, photos to follow. Also remade and lined the Glove box to house the new car radio/ bluetooth/ usb, and the MSD 6AL ignition booster. Just love being in the shed on a cold day with the fire going and the footy on the radio, having a beer with my Dad while also working on the car. ;D ;D Title: Re: GOA350 Improvments Post by: JB on July 01, 2013, 02:13:19 PM Still no pitchers Scotty!!!
