I think the process was caustic soda bath, bead blasting,new exhaust valves,valve stem oil seals,reseating,hardened seat inserts and machining. All up it was $550. I did tell them that everyone from the FC club was very interested in the outcome and quality of re conditioning, so i think they went the extra mile and made sure everything was Mickey Mouse! Title: Mission Accomplished ! Post by: RichFC on April 02, 2013, 12:28:07 PM After many hours of preparation and tweaking,New cylinder head,timing,points.plugs and tappet adjustment our project left the garage!!!
Dad drove us around the block! It was a great moment ! Engine was sweet,Gearbox a little noisy but Mission accomplished!!! Thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement ! I will be pulling the gearbox out this week and Dad is going to overhaul it. Same with the carby! Then fingers crossed - Blue slip- rego !!!!
