Title: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: RET on December 01, 2012, 01:38:32 PM Forum users who have iOS phones or tablets (ie iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch), Android-based devices or a Blackberry, read on...
The FE-FC Forum is now available via the Tapatalk app ($2), should you wish to use a native app for browsing the site. Of course, you're under no obligation to do so. Several members have expressed an interest in this, since it is available on other forums. cheers RET Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: NES304 on December 01, 2012, 07:26:03 PM Well this is a test from my iPhone 5 to see how effective it is. Looks user friendly too.
Thanks ret Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: RET on December 01, 2012, 07:47:09 PM Thanks Nes.
Tapatalk is $2.99 on the Apple App Store. Presumably similar on Android and Blackberry, but I haven't checked. There is a free version called 'Tapatalk RO', but I didn't have much success installing that on my iPhone. YMMV. cheers RET Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: NES304 on December 02, 2012, 10:08:47 AM This is a test with photo on my phone uploading direct to forum.
Ps it's VS air condenser that fits in front of VT V8 radiator. Worth the price for the app I think. Cuts down on using photo bucket uploading etc etc.
PS: Hold phone upright or it posts sideways. The option came up for quality of upload. I chose "best" Now I can upload as I go. Thanks again RET Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: FCV08 on December 02, 2012, 10:57:12 PM NES
May need some guidance on this. Not a techno savvy as yourself. Press upload then quality size then at the end press send at the top right Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: NES304 on December 06, 2012, 06:30:31 PM Tips - When searching for FEFCHOLDEN use the magnifying glass at the bottom and not scrolling through the list there.
Login is as per normal interweb Photo upload orientation on an iPhone is up You can also have it so that unread pops up first and when opening a topic to open at the most recent post so you don't have to scroll from the top every single time Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: RET on December 06, 2012, 07:21:36 PM Nice work, Nes. Thanks for posting those instructions.

Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: RET on January 12, 2013, 08:28:42 PM Hey Rummy,
Have a look at the sceenshots Nes posted. The very last one shows the icon you click to select a photo from your phone's Library to upload it. cheers RET Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: Rummy on January 13, 2013, 08:28:20 AM Thanks Ret,& Nes,had a better read of post & worked it out,app worth the money for posting photos alone.thanks again
Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: NES304 on January 13, 2013, 11:48:16 AM Think I may have found a limiting factor in the use of this APP though. It limits the user to upload a max of 30 photos only....
Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: RET on January 13, 2013, 05:19:23 PM There's an in-app purchase for $2 to enable unlimited image hosting. (Apparently these images are hosted by tapatalk themselves, so this is an add-on to cover the hosting costs.)
There is also a photobucket app that you can use to do the uploading if you prefer to do it that way. For $2, the simplicity of tapatalk has a lot going for it, IMHO. It's in the 'Extras' menu at the bottom right of the start page for tapatalk. cheers RET Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: NES304 on January 14, 2013, 07:15:11 AM Gotchya

Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: RET on October 10, 2013, 01:08:19 PM Tapatalk 2 is now also free.
Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: surferboy on December 21, 2013, 02:25:36 PM Sorry for being stupid but a caveman has more skill than me with this modern technology :D
I have just bought my first smart phone Samsung Galaxy S4 (Cathy got the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini) I am just figuring out how to make calls and send texts ::) ::) ::) (This thing seems to have a mind of it's own !) What's an APP ? How do I put one one my phone ? Do I do it by my desktop computer or by the phone (or both/either ?) I've bought it now so I can practice because... I want to do my Nats Travel Diary (with all the usual photos and story) by using my mobile phone so that I don't need to drag a laptop around the country in April. Can I use Tapatalk to do this ? The Tapatalk site doesn't mention Tapatalk2 ? Is this just an updated version with the same name ? My apologies again I need step by step instructions (with pics) Then I can usually manage by myself (sometimes) What is step 1 ? ??? ??? ??? ::) ::) ::) 8) 8) 8) Title: Re: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: Grey_Lover on December 21, 2013, 04:16:00 PM Good choice of phone ! Basically a pocket computer .
Look for the play store app icon . It looks like a white handbag with a symbol in the middle . Create an account .. then download any apps you want . You do this on your phone via wifi or 3g when your roaming around town . Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: NES304 on December 22, 2013, 07:58:09 AM YouTube is your friend- look up how to videos on what you want or simply search for "how to use the dam thingy"
Although it is annoying watching idiot 15 year old phone masters tell YOU how to use it. I bought my mum an iPhone 4 and ipad 3. She hangs at the apple store and has mastered it. Now when she is out grey nomadding with the caravan she shows everyone how to do stuff! She did however just call and ask how to turn up the ring volume!!! Title: Re: Tapatalk support for mobile users Post by: surferboy on December 27, 2013, 03:27:25 PM Muddled my way through to finding Tapatalk and the FE FC Holden Forum
when I tap on it... it opens up on Timeline if I tap on the word Timeline(at top left of phone screen) it takes me to a menu with Join. Timeline(highlighted). Browse. Search. I tap on Browse it gives me another menu with General. Technical Board. Galleries. For Sale, Wanted. tap on General gives me a menu with General Board. FE FC Holden Nationals. Events Shows etc. tap on General Board gives me the General board topics Tap on my Ho Ho Ho post ( It calls me surferboyACE ?) I can read my post and the replies This is about step 15 in MY way of doing things :o ::) How do I post stuff and reply etc My phone screen doesn't look anything like the pics on your post Nes I'm sure I'll get there eventually ::) ::) ::) but my 4 hour lunchbreak has finished and I've got to get back to work :( 8) 8) 8) Title: Re: Post by: surferboy on December 27, 2013, 03:32:16 PM Sign in first !!!
