Title: PRICES ???
Post by: christoofar on May 14, 2003, 05:59:53 AM
Hello everyone,

I'm very new to the FC addiction and have a couple of questions. I have my eye on a modified FC with a 350 chev in it and my question is, what would be a fair price?
I know this is like asking how long is a piece of string, but, there must be a ball park price.

eg:   $8 000 - $10 000  - Bargain   ;D

       $11 000 - $15 000 - right price  ;)

       $16 000 - $20 000 - too expensive  ???

The car has an engineers report and is registed as a v8.

My next question is, what should I be looking out for?
Are there any areas prone to rusting on this model?

Thanks for time, I love the site and are addicted to it.
cheers,

Christoofar

Christoofar,

The best rule I reckon is you pay what you think it is worth - and what other people (except the missus ;)) think is completely irrelevant. That said I reckon any legally registered and engineered 350 Chev FC is worth at least $10000.00 or more because its now illegal in most states who have set an upper limit of about 304ci.

Recent offerings of similar cars i know of have been from $6000ish (unreg 350 FC) to about $15000ish for a high quality 350 FC.

Maybe some of the other guys could offer better advice.

Anyway, happy buying, and hope to see you and your new car soon.

Cheers,

Craig.
