Title: Motors in Motion
Post by: 57effie on September 12, 2012, 08:11:05 PM
Saturday 27th October at the Kingaroy Aerodrome. Kingaroy is about 2.5 hours northwest of Brisbane and about 2 hrs from Maryborough, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba.

We had the first one last year and it was huge. There were vintage and warbird planes that flew in, helicopters and other private aircraft and joyflights in some of them.  Cars and motorbikes of all sorts, some fantastic and rare classic caravans, steam stationary and traction engines, all sorts of stationary engines, tractors of all sorts of brands, types and ages, some beautifull old boats, all manner of models. There was a bitumen course gymkhana between the hangers for the cars and a grass course gymkhana for the motor bikes. Model car races and model plane flying demonstrations. Lots of other entertainment including rides and activities for the kids. The favorite was the ping pong ball drop from a low flying plane. Stalls include all the usual food and beverage types as well as trade displays.
