Title: FE horn ring
Post by: Franno on April 10, 2012, 11:59:56 PM
Seeking a chrome horn ring for FE. Require one in good condition, suitable for rechroming (if necessary).
I had recently purchased one through this forum in excellent condition, only for the chromers in Perth to somehow manage snap it in two!

Thanks for the offer. The FE horn ring is a full circle, whereas the FC is a half circle. I'm after the full. I got an excellent one for about $70 a few weeks ago that just needed some new chrome to be perfect and the chromers managed to completely trash it. Snapped it and buckled it beyond repair. Came out shiny though!

Franno send your next one to Electroplating Technologies in Queanbeyan NSW
Anything die cast is best sent to them not cheap and takes a while but a good result

I'll have a look and let you know, always an option if no one closer can help.

Sorry, didn't make it back. Going tomorrow. Taking a mate too and we're going to start a list of some stuff that's there. I'll be back in the arvo and will let you know.

Sorry for the delay.

Pinky.

Sorry. No good. It's got a break and it's really badly pitted too. If you're in Melbourne try dinkum auto. He specializes in early holden and everything I've ever asked for he's had.

Pinky.

Thanks anyway for looking.  Car will be back on the road this week after a major body restoration. The horn ring will have to be a later addition.
Love to hear from anyone else on the forum who might have one or know where i might find the full circle FE horn ring.

Cheers

Hi Franno
I have one in my shed that is fair condition , Email me at   bandcrodgers@optusnet.com.au    or phone  0468 947 819  and I can send you some pics .
I'm in Brisbane but I can post it to you in a steel crate but you will have to pay the postage ;D  . I was going to put it on EBay and get a gazillion bucks for a super rare NOS FE horn ring blah blah blah. But I'd rather see some one with a daily driver using it. The $70  bucks you mentioned seems more than fair for one . Also have 2x arm rests for Fe in very ordinary condition if you are interested.
