I might be mistaken but didn't these have headers etc.

I would have thought so, but if that's what the engine number is and a pic can be provided of it, perhaps it is a real one. i don't want to disrespect the person thought without knowing the facts as my Dad's 250 2v Ford motor has wheezy shit on it!
