Post by: GMHwagoon on April 12, 2011, 03:32:21 PM

l have a steering lock that goes on the column just under the honey pot
when the lock  key is turned it inserts a pin into the pot locking the gear shift

if anyone else has one of these could you email me a picture of the key shape thanks
my lock smith is having trouble finding the right shape key to  fit

        thanks greg

Hey Greg.
What you describe is the FB EK steering lock.
The FE FC version looks like this.

I have an FB EK lock on my car, and can assure you it fits and works fine.
I have not seen any info when the 2 locks changed over and if they line up with the model change over though.
Here is a scan of my keys.
I hope it helps.

Alex

ps. I have fitting instructions for the FB EK version if you need.

G'day Greg,
The replacement key number should be DL1250 or equivalent ;)
