mine has a bent shaft, so need a new one. Can anyone help.
regards fred
These are quite easy to straighten accurately if they are bent at the top end where the rotor fits on.
Either take it to a shop that has a distributor graph, use an analogue dwell meter, or use a micrometer.
or it might be worn???? the dwell gap decresses as the revs increase causeing the motor to run rough
Sorry when you described it as bent then I guessed that it was ummm bent :-)
So it's got a worn bush then?

Not a bad price for a spare ;)

If you only require a good second hand distributor - I have a few - $25 each plus postage
