Title: Re: painting chequers Post by: Utemad on October 07, 2010, 06:21:52 PM I think the best way would be to paint the base colour first, then get a signwriter to cut the checker pattern for you out of vinyl, apply that to the bonnet and then paint with the second colour, remove mask and bobs your uncle.
Title: Re: painting chequers Post by: fe-ambo on October 07, 2010, 06:44:47 PM I have never done it, but I imagine paint the lighter colour first over the entire surface. Then with good quality masking tape, mask off the squares, then paint the second colour.
