Title: Teardrop mirrors - where can I find them?
Post by: Ol_Girl_58 on February 20, 2003, 03:14:39 AM
Hi guys, thanks for your responses to my questions, and the encouragement and praise to my car photos.  ;D ;D

But I have another one for ye:

Tear drop mirrors - the little mirrors that hang somewhere near the top of the 1/4 vents. Where can I find a pair?

Also: half moon headlight covers: They look cool. Where can I find them?

Thanks.

Josh  ;)

P.S. I was toying with the idea of debadging the car and deleting the rear door handles. What do you think??  ???

Hi Josh,

various suppliers found in mags like Cruizin, ASR etc, may have what u r after.

check with your local rego guys for door handles, and whether or not u can delete them.  see "door handles" in the modification thread.

i think the choice is yours for badges or none... deleting too much may make your car look like a standard.

personally i like chrome, just delete the bits you find fussy.

there are some cars which have airbrushed chrome look trim on them!

Cheers

Ed

Most rod shops and even a few general motor stores may stock that stuff. Just don't go shopping in Castlemaine :).

I have seen most of the gear you want at Rod-Tech in SA www.rodtech.com.au and they do COD.

Check out John Rappinette's FC Standard. Pretty well de-badged (mostly from the factory) and looking good!!

Is this the sort of mirror you mean/

It came from Johns Rod & custom shop in Vic. but I have seen them advertised in various mags, maybe a Rare Spares in Qld. ad. Close enough to $50 each.

Hey Josh
There is a set of mirrors on ebay under collectable car parts, I didn't get the link but they are pretty easy to find, the last bid was $30 for the pair
