Title: Car Jumping out of gear

hey guys, i replaced the steering head bearing and steering wheel a couple of weeks ago and since then when im in ssecond gear, the gear jumps to neutral if i back off and get on the gas again.. any ideas?

Sounds like you need to readjust the shift linkage - It is described in the manual, but loosening the top adjuster and resetting the position of the lever is all that needs to be done.  That said, your gearbox is showing signs of wear as this is a common occurrence on gray gearboxes.

check your engine mounts too 1 may hve split

I agree with Mick - check your engine mounts. I broke the shifter tube once many years ago because of a busted engine mount. If the engine and gearbox are moving, it will put a strain on the gear linkages.
