Title: New Seat Sides - how to fit?
Post by: Paul In Ireland on May 25, 2010, 07:34:30 AM
I have a set of the new Rares sides but without ones already in place, I am not sure how to fit them.

There are 4 larger rubber thingies, 4 smaller rubber thingies, 8 long and 4 short screws. What goes where and how? Do I need to drill out the centre of the rubber thingies? I have already been given the good hint of a mirror and small allen key to get the grub screw out of the seat handle.

Thanks,
Paul

The small  rubber spacers go at the rear of the bottom piece and the big rubber spacers behind the upper piece. Drill the spacers just enough so that the screws wont fall out of the spacers.

Well, I fitted them and they fit pretty well.

However, to make it sit right, I put the smaller spacers on the top corner pieces, a large spacer on the higher of the bottom two holes and cut a slice about half the thickness of the smaller spacers and used that on the bottom most hole on the back of the seat.
