Title: Radiator Re-core
Post by: FC0058 on May 24, 2010, 10:54:06 AM
Hi All
Does anyone know a ball park figure for radiator re-core, so far I have been quoted between:

3 Core-: $370 - $575
2 Core-: $320 - $375

One radiator mob said that FE FC came out with 2 different size radiators can anyone clarify this for me  ???

Cheers Jim

G,day Jim
If you can get a 3 core for under $400 go get one. I have had one in my ute for years and never have to top it up

Leos over here quoted $410 for a 2 core and $475 for a 3 core

Cheers
Gary

Try this mob, they cleaned out my radiator before I took off for the Nats, quick no bullshit service and a good price.

Jim only 1 FC radiator - later recores were available as either 2 or 3 cores but the original car all had the same radiator which was equivalent to a 3 core.

Hi Ken
I spoke to two different radiator shops who suggested that they had two different cores listed for FE/FC and it had to do with height and width of the core. I had my trusty NASCO parts book with me so also quoted the number for FE/FC. It had nothing to do with 2/3 core. When I drop my radiator off I will clarify the differences they have listed.

Thanks,
Cheers Jim

FX FJ has a deeper radiator - this is probably what they are referring to
