Title: conspieracy
Post by: freddyc on March 18, 2010, 08:06:46 PM
god hates me or does not want me to go to nationals. First he flooded Charlievale and central Qld, my route home. Now he is sending a cyclone to central Qld coast to stop me getting there. I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED.

Fred,

Tow a large trailer with lots of 44 gallon drums in the trailer with enough timber for decking, just to make sure that you are able to get to Orange, you may need to make a raft to float your car across.......

Alternatively, if you left now, you can go the other way and join up with the Western Australia contingent.....

In all honesty you should be right if you went across to Cloncurry, then down through Longreach to Barcaldine, Charleville, Bourke Nyngan to Orange.

I don't know if it is all sealed, most was last time I drove from Townsville that way, but that was in 1986/87. Worth a look.

Keith
