Title: exhaust manifold leak Post by: stapla on February 03, 2010, 01:22:14 PM Hi all,
Having a couple issues with the exhaust manifold. 1st problem - manifold preheat valve is leaking out the end where the counter weight is. 2nd problem - inlet to exhaust bolt holes are stripped out 3rd problem - I can't fit the manifold with all 3 inlet port guides fitted. I can fit the front 2 but the 3rd inlet ring doesn't line up 100%. I assume the exhaust and inlet are not 100% square with each other. I assume I need to find a new exhaust manifold ? Title: Re: exhaust manifold leak Post by: stapla on February 04, 2010, 01:35:22 PM I managed to get another manifold. The flapper valve is seized open and not leaking.
I'm not sure if the valve is all that important. I guess a heap of greys run extractors and other headers with no valve. Cheers Peter.
