Title: TAFE - Panel Beating Post by: Bob_FC_Ute on January 27, 2010, 11:48:28 AM Ultimo TAFE in Sydney is running a course in Selected Studies - Panel Beating.
Enrolments are at Building "N" in Jones Street Ultimo. Cost is $438 for 34 weeks. The course covers Welding - Oxy, Mig, Tig & Spot Welding Metal Forming - includes hot and cold shrinks as well as measuring, cutting, rolling & wheeling. Repairs to - Stretched metal, split metal & make and install rust repair sections & File Finishing. Filler methods - Lead loading & the correct use of plastic fillers. Equipment used - Guillotine, English wheel, rollers, shrink/expand m/c, swagers and welding equip. I did the course last year and found it very interesting. There is not a lot of technical time most of it is "Hands On". Apart from the class work I was also able to make a tail gate skin for my FC Ute. I will be re-enrolling as I enjoy the experience. Certificate II in Automotive Vehicle Body AUR20905 Course is on Wednesday Nights from 5.30 to 9.30. Enrollments started on Thursday 28/01/10. Cost is $438 plus $60 for materials. Regards Bob 0412 580 272 |
