Title: Hubs Post by: colt on September 10, 2009, 05:46:17 PM A question for the brake gurus.
I have been told that later model drum brake hubs are stronger than earlier models. Ignoring HQ on because of the bolt pattern, are HK,T,G stronger than EH to HR, which are stronger than grey motor models. I would presume that LC hubs are the same as KTG, where LJ would be HQ type. I need to narrow my options when looking for bits. Thanks, Colin. Title: Re: Hubs Post by: Spinner on September 10, 2009, 05:55:06 PM Colin,
All Toranas except 4 cyl HB, LC, Lj, TA use the same PCD. So do 4 cyl Commodores. Title: Re: Hubs Post by: mcl1959 on September 10, 2009, 09:06:28 PM I've never seen a hub fail, mostly bearings fail and these are the same from mid FE all the way to mid Commodore. Occasionally a stud will break but once again these are similar on all most hubs. I can't see any valid reason for not using FE FC hubs.
