John, not sure if it is any help, but I have the front springs out at the moment Part # 7410727 to suit FC Special & Standard Wagon, Panelvan, Ute and they are 295mm long

I also have a pair of FB EK Heavy Duty front springs out & they are Part # 7412465 Optional to suit all FB EK and they are 315mm long & thicker

Do you want a lend of my hacksaw  ;D

Cheers, Gary

PS If anyone else has any springs floating around (spring is in the air) the part # for the spring John needs the size of is Part # 7408860 & it can be found on the top edge of the spring near where the coil flattens out

John,

I will be pulling the springs out of 2 front cross members soon. I'll match them and measure them and let you know the lengths and any differences.

Hi All,

Thanks for your reply,

Gary, thanks for the offer of your hacksaw.

Rusty, thanks for your offer.

Ace, thanks for your measurement of 32cm.

The ones I have on the floor there are 35cm long, I believe the ones in car have been cut, will check in the course of time.

You can check really easily what they are out of. Look carefully around the edge at the shaped end of the spring and you will find the part number.

The no is on the closed end of the coil John, it may need a wire brush to clean it up

Gary,

Have checked for numbers on the coil, I am unable to find any numbers at all after wire brushing both ends. May be the coils are after market ???

John, if they have no flats ground on them then they certainly are not genuine - I wouldn't use them anyway as the spring wont sit square in the tower without a flat end.
