Title: Brake booster

Hi all
Just bought a vh 44 brake booster, but the fe didn't have one so i not quite sure which connection goes to where ?

The inlet is the port closest to the vac tank, the outlet is the one coming out parallel to the body of the booster at the rear. The other fitting at the rear is the bleed valve

I have just had one fitted to mine and brakes are great I left my camera in my truck so will take a photo on the weekend for you

Looks like a very neat installation Mal, especially the Vacuum line as I have seen these run across the top of the motor.

I have a reconditioned VH24 that I have been reluctant to fit to the wagon as a few of the blokes have said that they can play up & give uneven braking & lock up.

Are you running the standard drum brakes?

Gary - I have used VH24's with no problems - I would expect that the only reason why a VH24 should play up after reco was if it had not been done correctly.  I feel that the main reason why you could get uneven braking or lock-up is if the wheel cylinders or shoes were sticking / not moving freely.
